Independence commitment
The recommendation serves the buyer.
Independence is not a marketing adjective. It is a specific commercial commitment that you can hold me to.

My independence, in writing
IT Designer accepts no commissions, referral fees, rebates or margin from any software vendor, reseller or implementation partner. My only revenue is what you pay me.
If I ever have a commercial, personal or other material relationship with a provider I recommend, I will disclose it before making the recommendation.
What this means in practice
- I can recommend that you use an existing system better rather than buy a new one.
- I can recommend that you delay, rescope or stop a project when the evidence supports it.
- I assess vendors against your requirements, risk, cost and operating reality.
- I can work with your MSP and implementation partners without competing for their support or licence revenue.
What you pay for
You pay for judgement, analysis, decision support and delivery leadership. Any third-party product or service is contracted transparently and separately.
A useful first conversation
Ask the uncomfortable vendor question.
I will help you separate the business requirement from the sales pitch.
